Last night’s WWE RAW booking had to make Air Boom fans nervous. While the company is definitely invested enough in Rosa Mendes, Epico and Primo to warrant keeping the belts on the new champions, the team of Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne was not portrayed well, losing decisively to the heel group.
Those nerves were not for naught. WWE confirmed this morning that Evan Bourne has been suspended for his second violation of the Wellness Policy. This time, he will miss sixty days and will be one strike away from a contractual termination.
WWE did not reveal the drug for which he tested positive. This past fall, Bourne was also suspended for an undisclosed failure, although sources at the time heavily reported that it was due to the marijuana substitute Spice.
