F4WOnline.com reports that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was indeed furious backstage at Monday’s RAW, and not simply due to a reason that leaked on the Internet.
While many speculate Vince was unhappy with Alberto Del Rio mentioning his name, since it sort of gave away WWE’s plans to have McMahon be involved in the “conspiracy” storyline, the word is that McMahon was in a “bad mood” prior to the promo.
Sources say he unleashed anger on both his “usual targets” and usual allies, including daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Triple H. The road agents/producers dealt with a lot of the frustration, and there were said to be more script re-writes than usual the day of the show.
According to the report, McMahon called the writers and agents in for a post-show meeting in which he delivered a “full-on red-faced promo” that put everyone on notice. In terms of agents, he specifically targeted Dean Malenko and Arn Anderson for segments that did not go well.
Interestingly enough, critics and online comments thought this week’s RAW was a good show.
