WWE Fans Show No Interest in CM Punk vs. Miz; RAW Match Bombs

Quarterly RAW ratings breakdowns have been reasonably kind to heavily-pushed WWE Superstar CM Punk this summer, but that trend did not hold up Monday night.

Punk’s unannounced, seemingly out-of-left-field match with The Miz absolutely bombed in the quarter-hour ratings, indicating a concerning lack of interest from WWE’s fans.

Whereas segments in the 10PM slot typically make significant viewership gains over the prior quarter’s segments, Monday’s match averaged 200,000 less viewers than the prior segment, notes the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

A gain of 200,000 viewers for a 10PM match involving a top Superstar would be considered very disappointing, so the loss of viewership is downright alarming.
