WWE continued its nontraditional storyline with CM Punk and the WWE Championship during a Comic-Con panel this Thursday.
Much to the applause of those in attendance, Punk “crashed” a session that featured Triple H and Rey Mysterio. The WWE Champion criticized WWE for trying to crown a new champion and said he would be willing to defend his belt against Rey Mysterio should the masked Superstar want to come to Chicago.
The WWE Champion also played to “Internet wrestling fans” by asking when Zack Ryder would get booked on television.
Following up on the storyline with Vince McMahon, Triple H put over the regime change in WWE and said he would be willing to talk to Punk about a comeback.
Punk joked about a relationship with Stephanie McMahon, noting that if HHH wanted to call him, he could probably get the number from his wife.
