Randy Orton Mocks WWE Diva’s Frequent Hookups, Rips The Rock, Mark Henry

In a surprisingly-candid interview for a WWE Superstar in the PG era, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton opted not to mask some mockery and criticisms of his industry colleagues in speaking to the Arizona-based KUPD radio.

Central to the early segment of Orton’s mockery was WWE Diva Kelly Kelly, who Orton says has been the subject of frequent fraternizing with fellow WWE performers.

The discussion began when Orton explained how his wife is very comfortable with what he does for a living and was not rendered terribly awkward when Orton and Kelly revealed their storyline fling on television. At that point, one of the hosts joked that he would have been a “method actor” and actually hooked up with Kelly Kelly had he been involved in such an angle.

Orton retorted that he could “name a few method actors” in WWE, before settling on “ten guys” as the approximate number of Superstars he could identify who hooked up with the Divas Champion.

Kelly Kelly’s list of hookups was a comedic focal point of the interview, with the hosts attempting to guess who spent some time with the 24-year-old. Orton largely played coy about the identities, but he definitely did not discourage the hosts from indulging in the discussion.

Orton also targeted The Rock, whom he criticized in an interview this spring. Orton reiterated his disapproval over The Rock’s seemingly-hollow claims that he was never going to leave again before expressing dissatisfaction with how Rock responded to the remarks. Instead of discussing his anger with Orton personally, The Rock allegedly called into the WWE office to complain that Orton gave an interview burying The Rock and Triple H (Orton contends he did not bury Triple H and that Rock simply threw his name into the mix to make noise). According to Orton, John Laurinaitis subsequently relayed management’s dissatisfaction with the remarks.

Mark Henry made for another subject of Orton’s dsicussion; Orton put over the wrestler’s legitimately-significant strength before addressing the Superstar’s limitations in the ring. Though quick to put over John Cena as “light years” ahead of everyone else, including The Rock, on the mic, Orton also criticized Cena as somewhat stiff and bulky in the ring.

Even minor WWE guest actors received some attention from Orton, who did not enjoy the acting work of the two separate women who have played his wife on television. He felt they “ruined” both segments (the Triple H confrontation in his house and the tour bus angle with CM Punk).

The full interview, which includes interesting remarks from Orton on topics like defecating himself, which Superstar has no trouble marching into Vince McMahon’s office and speaking his mind, “wrestler vs. Superstar” and a terrible movie featuring a notable MMA star, is available here.
