Kharma Leaves WWE RAW for Pregnancy, Jim Ross Responds to “Fat” Story

As noted last week, Kharma’s sudden breakdown on the 5/23 edition of WWE RAW was to kick off a planned hiatus for the next year or so. WWE followed up on the situation this week, building to the Diva’s announcement that she will miss time due to a real-life pregnancy.

Kharma said that being a mother was the only dream that could compare to that of landing in the WWE, and that she would follow doctors’ orders not to wrestle as she prepares to give birth. WWE closed the angle by building a feud between Kharma, portrayed as a face, and the heel Bella Twins that would presumably pick back up when Kharma is ready to get physical again.

During the segment, Kharma confirmed that she first tried to get into WWE via the second season of “Tough Enough” but was told by Jim Ross that she was too fat to be a Diva. Ross responded to the comment on Twitter, noting, “Lots of angry folks. Ask @Kharma the story. She’s a wrestler & not a typical WWE Diva…Yes, I’m fat. Duh.”
