WWE Hall of Famer Set For WrestleMania Return?, Snooki News, More WWE Updates

— Talk has surfaced suggesting that “Good Ol'” Jim Ross will be commentating at least some of the matches on this year’s WrestleMania 27 pay-per-view.

With Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler scheduled for a high-profile match on the show, their presence as announcers will be limited, if not completely eliminated. While WWE does have available talent in the form of names like Josh Matthews and Booker T, the feeling is that Ross is far better suited for the WrestleMania environment.

Ross’ recent involvement in the Cole-Lawler feud seemed to almost guarantee he would at least be present on the ‘Mania telecast for that particular matchup. But the F4WOnline.com Wrestling Observer Newsletter says that no decision has been made on who will be announcing on the show. And, insofar as Ross was, at one point, scheduled to announce on last year’s WrestleMania only for plans to be changed late in the game, one should certainly not assume anything is etched in stone.

— F4W adds that the Divas spent considerable time running through their high-profile RAW segment ahead of the Monday telecast. Vickie Guerrero and Snooki obviously have limited and no wrestling experience, respectively, but the angle needed to look at least respectable given its tie-in to the WrestleMania mixed tag.

— As was noted, Snooki replaced the originally-booked Kelly Kelly on the babyface team for the aforementioned mixed tag match, which features Trish Stratus, Snooki and John Morrison against Dolph Ziggler and Laycool. The Observer says that there has been talk of possibly changing at least one other undercard match from how it appeared on the card that leaked a few weeks ago.
