News on WWE WrestleMania Card Revealed, Undertaker’s Return, Lawler

While WWE presently lacks that “big match” to tie the WWE WrestleMania card together, pieces of the puzzle are finally starting to fall into place.

As confirmed on last night’s RAW, Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio will be challenging the World Heavyweight Champion at ‘Mania. Although there is talk that Edge might lose the belt to Dolph Zigger in the interim, the ultimate WrestleMania plan still calls for Edge to wrestle Del Rio as the defending champion.

On the RAW side, John Cena vs. The Miz looks to be the plan for the WM main-event, although the challenger will not be formally determined until Elimination Chamber.

Jerry Lawler is not expected to win the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber–the belief is that Michael Cole will again interfere to keep Lawler from topping Miz. That would produce some sort of Lawler vs. Cole dynamic for WrestleMania, possibly with Alex Riley representing Cole in the ring.

According to F4WOnline.com, Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett remains the plan for the show. Undertaker is telling everyone that he will be ready, but if it turns out he needs to be protected in the ring, there has been talk of actually pairing Taker with Kane for a match against all members of the Corre.

If the Taker-Barrett match indeed happens, the other members of the Corre would likely wrestle three Nexus members, with CM Punk in his own singles match with Randy Orton.

The Observer adds that Sheamus vs. Triple H is still on the cards even though HHH has still not made his long-anticipated return to action.
