John Cena, who under the terms of his ongoing WWE storyline was to be “fired” once Randy Orton retained his championship at WWE Survivor Series, teased a follow up on RAW in a Twitter update Monday.
“CeNation. Raw should be interesting tonight. I didn’t think this day would come this soon,” wrote Cena, who tends to Tweet in character more frequently than many WWE colleagues.
RAW should, however, provide an answer to the hotly-debated question: what is next for John Cena? Insofar as Cena is not leaving WWE in any sort of substantive capacity, the storyline door will certainly need to open for Cena’s character to return to television.
But insofar as WWE sold a pay-per-view on the stipulation, there would certainly be unrest if WWE did not provide a well-crafted rationale for Cena’s “unfiring.” For some web commenters, that would require at least several weeks of off-air time for the popular wrestler.
