This week’s Monday Night Football game did not set ratings records, but when combined with the final game of the MLB World Series, it still produced a sports viewership juggernaut.
Few, therefore, would have expected WWE RAW to perform impressively in the ratings. And while it did not necesarily do that, the weekly wrestling show still deserves credit for growing its audience in such a competitive landscape.
Monday’s show posted a 3.3 cable rating with 4.86 million viewers. Among adults 18-49, the show garnered a 1.7.
But while the number itself was up, the trend was not ideal. Hour one slightly outdrew hour two (4.926 million viewers vs. 4.789 million), which is often a sign that the show did not offer enough excitement to keep the initial viewership pool hooked for full two hours.
