Although it is not practice for dialogue about TNA Wrestling to enter the WWE lockerroom, WWE sources did, reportedly, evaluate the company’s use of “Jersey Shore” star Jenni “Jwoww” Farley.
According to F4WOnline.com’s Wrestling Observer, the verdict was not favorable, with the JWoww-Cookie angle being deemed a flop. WWE personnel do not consider all the TMZ exposure worthwhile, adhering to the belief that publicity from more traditional television newsmagazines like Access Hollywood and from mainstream sports outlets like ESPN is more valuable. It was also noted that TNA almost has to invest another $15,000 in the reality star since the angle was clearly booked in a manner that requires a follow-up.
— Regarding WWE’s interest in continuing the Daniel Bryan “ladies’ man” gimmick, nothing was set in stone prior to Monday’s RAW (nor is anything set in stone going forward). The segment with Bryan and the Divas was initially viewed as a one-time comedy routine, but WWE felt the segment came across well and believes there is potentially something to the idea of portraying Bryan as a geek who somehow wins over all the Divas.
That gimmick would also give Michael Cole a lot of material from a commentary perspective.
