Undertaker’s WWE Return Update, Plans for Kane Feud, Update on Nexus

ProWrestling.net reports that Undertaker’s clearance to return to physical activity only came several weeks ago, even though it had seemed a foregone conclusion for a while that his comeback would take place at Summerslam.

Taker had been nursing injuries that included a broken orbital bone he suffered in a match with Rey Mysterio; a talking point within the company has been the extent to which his ‘aged’ appearance at Sunday’s PPV was a result of the physical toll his body his taken, as opposed to a mere component of the storyline to sell the fact that he returned from the “vegetative state” as “weaker” than storyline brother Kane.

The Kane vs. Undertaker program, set to be the headline SmackDown! feud, will include a match at the 9/25 Madison Square Garden show.

— WWE live event lineups also reveal some interesting pairings for Nexus going forward. At that particular show, the group will wrestle Bret Hart and The Hart Dynasty; other September cards have Nexus wrestling teams like John Cena, Randy Orton, Big Show and Kane, Rey Mysterio & Randy Orton and Randy Orton, Evan Bourne and R-Truth.
