EX-UFC Fighter Roger Huerta Responds To Street Fight Incident

The mixed martial arts community–including UFC President Dana White–has been very supportive in response to a TMZ video that apparently showed former UFC fighter Roger Huerta viciously beating down a man who struck a woman outside of an Austin, Texas bar.

Huerta himself has now weighed in on the situation, explaining to TMZ that the other man in the “street fight” provoked him.

He tells TMZ that after witnessing the “huge guy” punch the woman, he “approached the man calmly and said, ‘Do you know what you just did? You just knocked out this girl.'”

During the calm confrontation, Huerta claims that the other man said something along the lines of, “‘F*ck you, f*ck these bitches, I’ll knock out any f*ckin’ bitch that I wanna f*ckin’ knock out, I’ll knock your f*cking bitch ass out.’”

While ranting, “he’s taking off his shirt … and at that point I was like, ‘alright,'” adds Huerta.

Huerta maintains that he did not throw the first punch and only reacted when the other man started swinging. “I got the better of him and I left,” says Huerta, adding, “”f that was my mom, if that was my sister, my spouse, anyone … I would’ve wanted someone to step in and do something about it.
