WWE RAW Scores Another Ratings Increase

WWE got solid news in the ratings data for this week’s episode of RAW, indicating strong carry-over buzz from the beginning of last week’s Summerslam build.

Viewership for this week’s RAW rose to an average of 5.197 million viewers with a 3.5 cable household rating, as compared with a 3.4 and 4.800 million viewers for last week’s show. Hourly figures broke down to a 3.49 and 3.52, while the show did a 1.85 in the important adults 18-49 demographic.

The strong first hour suggests that last week’s establishment of the Team Cena vs. Team Nexus created intrigue, although it is worth noting that the increase from hour one to hour two, often a reflection of how much excitement is being generated within the episode, was very minor compared to last week’s enormous growth.

Also interesting is the fact that while hour two of this week’s show scored a lower household rating than last week’s episode, the viewership was higher–5.310 million viewers versus 5.167 million last week.
