WWE Champion John Cena took to his Twitter to comment on the surprise release of Carlito.
“I am sad to hear the wwe has decided to release carlito. I always thought he could, and should have accomplished more than he did. I wish him the best,” tweeted Cena.
Carlito, who was released Friday for refusing to enter rehab after a Wellness Policy violation, had long been lumped with Shelton Benjamin in the camp of WWE Superstars who had immense talent but allegedly never showed the desire to breakout as a true main-eventer.
