WWE’s Plans For WrestleMania Main Event, New Possible Match

— As of right now, the plan for WrestleMania 26 calls for John Cena vs. Batista to close the show. Evidence of WWE’s mindset can be found in promotional material for the event; headline booking for Cena-Batista was also strongly implied by the fact that their interaction closed Monday’s episode of RAW.

A final decision, however, will not be made until Sunday. WWE was still considering running Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker last, largely because the bout will command the greatest degree of fan attention and thus hurt the crowd’s interest in any matches booked to follow.

— It looks as if Eve, Beth, Kelly, Gail and Mickie vs. Alicia, Vickie, Maryse, Layla and Michelle will be added to WrestleMania in some capacity, but that had not formally been confirmed at press time.
