John Cena: WWE Didn’t Need a Wellness Policy

John Cena, WWE’s top current superstar, tells Sky Sports that WWE did not need to implement its wellness policy.

Although Cena feels WWE’s decision to add a system of drug testing was a positive, he notes, “I’ll be quite honest with you, it’s a company move that didn’t need to be made. This is the entertainment industry, we’re not organized athletics.”

Despite that stance, Cena nonetheless believes WWE’s policy has benefited the company’s ‘athletes.’

“But the WWE made a positive effort to look after its athletes and I’m very, very happy,” says Cena. “It was the right move.”
