— WWE developmental talent Dos Caras, Jr. has returned to action in Florida Championship Wrestling with that name and with his mask. He had been working under different names–and without a mask–prior to an absence from the developmental territory. It appears he is in the process of getting a push, although FCW plans are quite subject to change.
— By now, rumors that The Ultimate Warrior could headline the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony this year are no secret to anyone. The idea of the induction still remains a longshot–Vince McMahon did not seriously discuss Warrior in a recent WWE management conversation about the Hall–but it is definitely possible this year, especially given the WrestleMania location (Warrior resides in Phoenix) and the fact that the WWE-Warrior lawsuit has been settled.
While Warrior was not part of a discussion about the Hall of Fame on McMahon’s corporate jet, some very intriguing names were. In addition to Ted DiBiase (who all consider essentially a lock for induction this year), the names King Kong Bundy, Lawrence Taylor and Jake Roberts all came up. The latter most is particularly interesting, given his reputation within some in the industry for showing up at events in questionable condition.
The feeling is that if WWE were to induct Roberts, it would bring him to the venue several days in advance and place him under close supervision to assure he gets on stage in a condition befitting of the ceremony. Of course, as with other names that are rumored, he is by no means a lock for the event.
