Matt Hardy Works The Wrestling Media Again

Matt Hardy, known for attempting to “fool” the wrestling media with cryptic messages on his MySpace and Twitter accounts, succeeded in tricking many media sources Wednesday.

Late last night, Hardy tweeted that he was tired of “being punished because of someone else’s sins.” The media ran with the story as if Hardy was expressing frustration about being held back due to Jeff Hardy’s legal woes, and in doing so, reporters apparently played into Hardy’s hands.

Hardy later confirmed on his MySpace that, in actuality, the Tweet was in response to his having to pad some of his coworkers’ underwhelming tips when the WWE team went out to eat Tuesday night. He had made a bet with his colleagues that he could get the media to bite on the comment as if it was related to something more serious, and it appears he won.
