Randy Orton Shoots on Released WWE Star, Criticizes Weight Gain

Speaking to reporters in conjunction with Summerslam, WWE Champion Randy Orton effectively admitted that Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore’s weight gain was responsible for his release.

“He came back two weeks ago and came in a little heavy from where [management] wanted him to come in,” said Orton, according to The Sun.

Orton added that he “pulled some strings” to help his old friend get his job back, so he was less than pleased when Dinsmore “[came] back all overweight.”

“So all in all, I am a little upset with right now with him,” remarked Orton.

Following his first return appearance on an episode of RAW, Eugene was quickly released by WWE. Looking significantly less fit than he did in his prior WWE run, Eugene’s weight was reportedly a major factor in his release.
