— Though most reports say the crowd excitement at WWE Summerslam was mediocre, the DX ring entrance got over in a big way with the live crowd. While WWE ended up booking DX vs. Legacy several notches from the top, it was clear that Shawn Michaels and Triple H were the biggest attractions at the show.
— In popping for DX, the crowd played into the wishes of WWE, which placed a lot of late promotional emphasis on the DX return. The crowd was not, however, completely aligned with the creative team’s visions for the Superstars.
