DX Controversy News, The Miz Echoes Jericho On WWE, Teases Summerslam Role

— Early Friday morning, numerous wrestling websites reported that WWE was advertising a DX shirt, targeted at youth fans, that featured the line “World’s Biggest Member” on the back. At press time, the shirt was no longer promoted on the main WWEShop.com pages; the direct link to the shirt was, however, still accessible.

— “It’s about time there are different people in the main event for Summerslam,” said The Miz about the Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk TLC match in an interview with B95 in Central California.

“I’ve been seeing the same five people in the same matches for the past five years,” added Miz, who echoed Twitter rival Chris Jericho’s critique that WWE–specifically the RAW brand–has been failing to build new stars.

The Miz, nonetheless, believes a lot of the burden for developing new main eventers falls on the talent themselves. “I kind of realized after the whole John Cena debacle…I needed to get more serious. I decided to change the look up, change the attitude, start building my way up to the top,” discussed Miz, in half-work/half-shoot mode, regarding his desire to earn stardom by looking and acting the part.

In the same interview, The Miz also teased some sort of role at WWE Summerslam, noting that he will almost definitely appear in some capacity, even if his match with Kofi Kingston remains excluded from the show.
