— WWE Superstar Evan Bourne appeared on a local FOX affiliate in St. Louis to promote Monday’s RAW event.
Without giving away any specific plans for tonight’s telecast, Evan Bourne teased a potential involvement in the US Title picture, explaining that he would be willing to go through The Miz Monday night (a hint, rather than a definitive confirmation, of a Miz-Bourne match) in order to get a shot at Kofi Kingston. He also joked that he might have to put the pressure on guest host Freddie Prinze, Jr. to receive the title opportunity.
Miz was slated to face Kofi Kingston at Summerslam when creative began discussing matches for the event last month, but in recent weeks, the possibility of the Jack Swagger-MVP feud spilling into the US Championship picture has also emerged. It now seems that Bourne could also be on the potential list of challengers.
Bourne added that Triple H and John Cena will take on Big Show and Randy Orton in tonight’s (dark match) main event.
— Kane vs. The Great Khali has been officially added to the WWE Summerslam card.
