TNA’s Kurt Angle Arrested, Latest Details

Just days after reports made it seem that Team Kurt Angle was winning the backstage power struggle against Jeff Jarrett, news broke Saturday that the Olympic Gold Medalist was arrested.

Angle was reportedly arrested in Robinson Township Saturday after his girlfriend, female wrestler Rhaka Khan, called the police alleging that Angle was stalking her. She made the call from a local Starbucks, explaining that she spotted Angle, who had been served a “protection from abuse order” at his home this morning.

Angle, who was pulled over in his girlfriend’s car while allegedly driving with a suspended license, reportedly possessed hygetropin (HGH) but claimed that he would be able to provide evidence of a prescription.

Still, WPXI in Pittsburgh reports that Angle was charged with “driving while operating privilege is suspended, prohibited acts-possession, harrassment and prohibited acts.”

The general lockerroom reaction, according to PWInsider, is one of surprise. While Angle and Rhaka Khan had experienced issues in the past, the belief is that they had resolved their problems and the last anyone knew was that they were living together.

TNA sources told PWInsider.com that while the company still expects Angle to be able to wrestle on tomorrow’s pay-per-view, contingency plans are being developed in the event that he cannot. The real backstage story stemming from the situation, however, regards the effect Angle’s arrest will have on the backstage tension between Angle and Jeff Jarrett.
