A F4WOnline.com story previously noted that WWE recently scrapped many of its plans for the company’s booking direction going into Summerslam, and a report in the website’s newsletter has more details on some of the ideas thrown around.
— There are conflicting reports on Jeff Hardy’s status. WWE has put Hardy’s name back in house show advertisements for October and had creative start booking programs involving Hardy for September, but some of those close to him are still under the impression he will be wrapping up this month.
— No women’s match on the WWE Summerslam pay-per-view will resemble the bouts plans prior to this past weekend.
— All indications, especially coming out of RAW, are that WWE is running Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs. Legacy at Summerslam, but the company has at least considered teasing the Michaels comeback until after the event.
— Sources add that it would not be a surprise to witness something like Triple H vs. Ted DiBiase or another Triple H vs. Randy Orton on television in the coming weeks.
— There had been talk of Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz, but with Miz apparently “banned from RAW” and “banned from Summerslam,” it does not appear WWE still intends to head in that direction.
— One idea being thrown around involves a full-fledged Maria heel turn (as opposed to her playing the bimbo character to heel beau Dolph Ziggler).
