Major Possible RAW Brand Spoiler, Tonight’s SD Taping

— WWE has officially booked Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk as the main event for this week’s SmackDown. A number of media outlets had falsely reported Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk on the match based on a My Network TV press release, although a careful reading of the release reveals that the match itself was never actually advertised (though it was implied).

— F4WOnline.com reports that Triple H vs. John Cena is the tentative Summerslam main-event, which would imply a Randy Orton loss at this Sunday’s WWE Night of Champions. It should be noted that the plan is far from cemented, and given WWE’s interest in pairing Orton and Shawn Michaels at the top of the card later this year, fans should not rule out the possibility that Orton retains at the pay-per-view.
