All indications are that Jeff Hardy still remains contractually uncommitted to a future in WWE.
While no one anticipates Hardy leaving for a rival group, it remains interesting that the wrestler WWE officials reportedly view, according to the Wrestling Observer, as the “most popular” babyface in the company is main-eventing WWE pay-per-views without a long-term commitment to the company.
According to wrestling gossip website The Sun, Hardy told Spain’s Cuatro Network that he is hesitant to seal his long-term fate even while knowing he has as much as a decade left in the ring.
“I don’t know – I am 31 years old now and I don’t like making plans for the future. I can wrestle until I am 40 but I don’t want to make plans, I don’t like thinking about what could happen between now and the next five years,” said Hardy.
The expectation from most industry sources is that Hardy will ultimately sign, presumably contingent on some sort of hiatus at the end of the summer.
