Update On WWE Diva’s Release

A history of untimely injuries definitely seems to serve as a valid predictor for a WWE release. While it turned out that Ken Kennedy was released for other reasons (and he heatedly contests the “injury prone” label), the fact that he had so frequently missed time due to injury served to minimize the initial shock.

The same could have been said for Candice Michelle, who has been injured quite frequently for a Diva, if not for the fact that she had been slated to return to television this month.

“I have not returned to the ring yet but I will this month,” she wrote on her Twitter at the beginning of June. Moreover, though sources say she had fallen out of favor with management, there was still a belief that WWE wanted to use her to help push some of its younger female talent.

Nonetheless, WWE opted to send Michelle packing. In her first public response since learning the news, Michelle tweeted, “I’m Free to Grow! :).”
