Major News on Plans For Tonight’s WWE RAW

As of the middle of this weekend, WWE was planning to feature a title match at each of the major “checkpoints” during tonight’s “Three for All” edition of RAW.

That means the script called for a title match at just before 9PM, just before 10PM and in the main-event. The expected order was for the ECW Championship to fill the first slot, with the World Championship and WWE Championship matches following, respectively.

One possible change could involve the RAW General Manager announcement, as WWE will likely want to slate that in one of the featured segments, possibly even the final one. And, as with all WWE plans, everything is subject to change, especially given how chaotic sources say booking for this week’s RAW was.

WWE has also announced Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio. Vince McMahon will be appearing for an announcement regarding the new RAW General Manager, while numerous outlets have said Ric Flair is also booked for an appearance on the show.

Update: WWE obviously did not stick to the bulk of this format–the World Championship triple threat is the only match that aired in the originally planned timeslot. The company instead opted to showcase the WWE title belt at the 9PM turn, with the number one contendership Battle Royal and, presumably, an update to the GM situation slated for the latter portion of tonight’s show.
