Backstage News For Monday’s RAW, Even More on Batista

— As has been reported, the scheduled World Title main-event for RAW is (spoiler alert) CM Punk vs. Edge vs. Jeff Hardy. WWE had originally planned to save that as the main-event for The Bash, but it instead opted to run the match this week. Sources say creative is under the gun right now as it has little planned for Monday’s RAW, yet has to figure out how to fill a three-hour show plus begin the hard-sell for the upcoming PPV.

— There is talk that the supposed “four month” absence for Batista might be overstated hype on WWE’s part. Sources have conflicted on the matter – some say he will take more time off (and not return until the Royal Rumble), while others believe he can return as soon as Summerslam. What is certain, however, is that Batista is indeed injured and did indeed undergo surgery – rumors to the contrary are absolutely false. Headline Planet has a “rumor killer” update on Batista here.
