With all the shakeups in WWE this week, one Superstar who has managed to stay under the radar is Glenn “Kane” Jacobs. And, according to a report, Kane might remain out of the limelight for a little while longer.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter says that Kane has opted to take some time away from the ring in order to recover from some nagging injuries, most notably in his knees. Instead of working through the pain until surgery is required, Kane hopes to recover naturally.
There is presently no set date for Kane’s return, but it is very unlikely that Kane would be unduly pressured into returning earlier than desired. Having refrained from indulging in a Superstar lifestyle, Kane is one of the industry’s real-life “success stories”–he has money saved up and can essentially operate on his own terms. Consequently, Kane will most likely never be a problem for WWE management; when he ultimately leaves, it will likely be to retire from pro wrestling. Simultaneously, he will not catch heat from WWE officials for taking some extra time away from in-ring action.
