WWE RAW Rating Revealed

WWE RAW saw a post-Extreme Rules bump in the ratings Monday, yet while it was able to conquer a cable rival last night, it still fell short of winning the night.

Citing data from Nielsen Media Research, PWInsider reports that this week’s edition of WWE RAW posted a 3.6 cable rating, off hours of 3.33 and 3.89. The strong growth from hour-to-hour indicates the power of the curiosity in the Batista/WWE Championship storyline, although as was witnessed with the fallout from Judgment Day, WWE has recently struggled to turn post-PPV buzz into long-term ratings improvement.

Nonetheless, the 3.6 rating did give WWE’s RAW a victory over “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which had been consistently topping RAW in the numbers this season. It did a 3.3. Unfortunately for WWE, a new challenger emerged this week–TNT’s “The Closer”–which easily won the night with a 5.4 cable rating.
