JBL Update Following WrestleMania 25

Though his quitting announcement at WrestleMania came off like a storyline of doubted sincerity, John Bradshaw Layfield is sticking to the notion that he has wrestled his last match.

In a WWE Universe blog update, Layfield says he is committed to building his Layfield Energy brand, while simultaneously working with Charlie Haas to grow Custom-Muscle.

Regarding any possible future in pro wrestling, JBL has nothing planned for the short-term.

“I have no current plans on doing anything in the future on a professional level with WWE. I don’t plan on doing commentary, in fact; it hasn’t even been brought up to me. I don’t plan on being an on air character. I plan on starting the next chapter in my life, and closing the door on this one,” said the former champion.

He did, nonetheless, leave the door open. He advised, “You may see me in the WWE again.”
