Though it consistently posts weaker numbers on Thursday, “American Idol”‘s Wednesday ratings have held up reasonably well sans Simon Cowell, and the debut of his imported “The X-Factor” might not be as dire for FOX as once expected.<\/p>\n

Still, with the vocal judge who made “American Idol” so famous at the core, FOX is pretty sure it has a fall hit on its hands, and it escalated the hype during Sunday’s Super Bowl (and later during the post-game edition of “Glee”). Headline Planet has the ads below:<\/p>\n
