After weeks of rumors and speculation, the news is finally officially.<\/p>\n

Justin Timberlake will headline the upcoming Super Bowl LII halftime show.<\/p>\n

Timberlake made the announcement in a short skit with Jimmy Fallon, who hosts “The Tonight Show” for NBC.<\/p>\n

NBC will be broadcasting the big game on February 4, 2018.<\/p>\n

Timberlake will be taking the stage thirteen years after XXXVIII, at which Timberlake played the halftime show with Janet Jackson, P. Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock.<\/p>\n

That set notably included the “Nipplegate” controversy, in which Timberlake exposed Jackson’s breast to the audience.<\/p>\n

The incident would also popularize the term “wardrobe malfunction.”<\/p>\n
