On a rare Monday that saw “Lie to Me” receive the “House” lead-in but avoid original competition from CBS’ monster comedies, the bubble drama surged in the ratings.<\/p>\n
Though still in third place for its timeslot, “Lie to Me” posted a solid 2.5 rating among adults 18-49 with 7.66 million viewers. Behind the 9PM portion of “The Bachelor” (2.9 rating, 9.12 million for the hour) and repeats of “Two and a Half Men” and “Mike & Molly,” the FOX series nonetheless dominated “The Cape” (down to a mere 1.6 rating with 5.89 million) and “Gossip Girl” (with a barely-there 0.9 and 1.59 million).<\/p>\n
“House” garnered a 3.7 with 10.44 million viewers. It easily won its timeslot, but considering the lack of competition, that is far from a spectacular rating for the one-time megahit.<\/p>\n
“Harry’s Law” made for another big story Monday, with the NBC series holding steady after last week’s successful premiere. The demographic performance was again mediocre at a 2.1, but the 10.36 million viewership gave NBC the hourly win in that category. ABC’s “Castle” delivered a solid 2.4 with 9.09 million for the win at 10PM.<\/p>\n
Earlier in the night, NBC’s 8PM veteran “Chuck” delivered a 2.0 with 6.38 million.
