Thursday’s “The Orville” matched last week’s time period premiere in adults 18-49.<\/p>\n

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s episode drew a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 3.73 million overall viewers.<\/p>\n

Last week’s episode posted a stronger viewer mark (4.05 million) but the same 1.1 demo rating.<\/p>\n

While this week’s episode faced a higher-profile football game (which aired on CBS rather than NFL Network exclusively), it may have benefited from a lightning delay in the 9PM hour.<\/p>\n

It also, however, faced hefty competition from the season premieres of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” and NBC’s “Will & Grace” and “Great News.” While those shows obviously skew differently, they draw enough<\/i> overall viewers to represent legitimate opposition.<\/p>\n
