According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s season premiere drew a strong 3.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 12.64 million overall viewers.<\/p>\n
The adults 18-49 rating represents a series high for the show; it tops the previous high of 3.4 set by the first season finale.<\/p>\n
The viewership figure is the show’s second best on record (said first season finale drew 12.84 million viewers).<\/p>\n
Both numbers, moreover, represent huge increases over the 2.8 rating and 10.07 million viewer figure posted by the September 2016 series premiere.<\/p>\n
“This Is Us” was Tuesday’s #1 show in adults 18-49. It trailed only “NCIS” to rank as the #2 show in overall viewers.<\/p>\n

The rating markedly tops the 6.4 delivered by the September 2016 series premiere — and ranks as the critically acclaimed drama’s second best on record. Only the first season finale (9.0) fared better in the overnights.<\/p>\n
