Per a report from Hits Daily Double, “Look” sold nearly 100,000 paid US downloads in the “overnight” window between 9PM and 12AM PT Thursday night (essentially its first three hours in the market).<\/p>\n
The impressive figure represents a 20%-plus gain over that achieved by Swift’s 2014 single “Shake It Off”***. That song sold about 544,000 US downloads in its first week.<\/p>\n
“Look What You Made Me Do” remains a beyond-comfortable #1 on the US iTunes sales chart. As of press time, it is selling about 14x as fast as the chart’s #2 song (Demi Lovato’s “Tell Me You Love Me”). The gap is the largest ever recorded.<\/p>\n
“Look What You Made Me Do” is the lead single from Swift’s forthcoming sixth album “reputation.” It is a strong bet to claim #1 on the Hot 100.
