TNT’s “Claws” has not been delivering mammoth live+same-day numbers, but it has been a remarkably consistent performer across its first five episodes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is also receiving big lifts from DVR and multi-platform viewing.<\/p>\n

With those factors on its side, “Claws” predictably scored a second season renewal. TNT announced the news Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

“Look out Manatee County, these ladies are coming back for more!” said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT. “These strong-willed, hilarious women represent the diverse voices this network is all about. Claws has certainly struck a chord with audiences and continues to attract new viewers each week.”<\/p>\n

TNT notes that “Claws” is averaging 6.3 million all-platform viewers (TV, streaming, mobile, etc) per episode. The TV broadcasts of the episodes are averaging 1.1 million adults 18-49 on a live+7 basis.<\/p>\n

The first season will conclude on August 13.
