Her campaign, priced in the realm of $50 million, was thus unsuccessful in even putting McMahon within striking distance of victory.<\/p>\n
But according to various Connecticut media and some internal wrestling sources, McMahon’s Senate aspirations might not be done. The Hartford Courant ran a story late last week suggesting that McMahon would be a frontrunner for GOP endorsement in the 2012 race against Joe Lieberman. The story, written prior to the election, played on the angle that whomever lost the Blumenthal-McMahon race would likely remain in the picture for 2012.<\/p>\n
