ABC has ordered the presently untitled drama straight to series.<\/p>\n
Positioned as a “Grey’s Anatomy” spin-off, the series “follows a group of heroic firefighters” that work out of a Seattle-area firehouse. “From the captain to the newest recruit, we follow these brave men and women as they risk their lives and their hearts both in the line of duty and off the clock.”<\/p>\n
\u201cNo one can interweave the jeopardy firefighters face in the line of duty with the drama in their personal lives quite like Shonda, and \u2018Grey\u2019s\u2019 signature Seattle setting is the perfect backdrop for this exciting spinoff,\u201d added Channing Dungey of ABC.<\/p>\n
