FOX’s “Empire” spent its first three seasons in the Wednesday at 9PM timeslot.<\/p>\n
It will move to 8PM for its fourth season.<\/p>\n
“Empire” will lead into fellow music-themed drama “STAR,” which will occupy the Wednesday at 9PM slot this fall.<\/p>\n
The move was confirmed as part of FOX’s 2017-18 scheduling announcement.<\/p>\n
Other moves include shifting “Lucifer” to the Monday at 8PM hour and sending “Gotham” to Thursday nights. “Lethal Weapon” will move to Tuesday at 8PM, where it will lead into an hour of comedies.<\/p>\n
New series landing on the fall schedule into “The Gifted,” “The Orville,” and “Ghosted.”<\/p>\n
Newcomers “The Resident,” “9-1-1,” and “LA To Vegas” will bow at midseason. The new chapter of “The X-Files” and the final eight “New Girl” episodes will also launch at midseason.<\/p>\n

THE GIFTED tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers.
