CBS officially confirmed details for the 60th Grammy awards ceremony.<\/p>\n
Per the announcement, the show will be taking place at New York’s Madison Square Garden on January 28, 2018.<\/p>\n
The show, notably, will start earlier this year. Instead of beginning in the 8PM hour, the show will begin at 7:30PM ET and run through 11PM. It will air live (4:30-8PM PT) on the west coast.<\/p>\n
The earlier start time likely accounts for the show being held in the eastern time zone. It may also come with a ratings benefit; even though it is when the night’s biggest trophies are issued, awards shows tend to lose viewers in the 11PM ET hour.<\/p>\n
