It tops the former with what Billboard reports as 166K pure opening week US sales. Billboard notes that a concert ticket-album bundle benefited the pure sales figure, but it does not reveal the degree of impact.<\/p>\n
The inclusion of TEA (track sales\/10) and SEA (track streams\/1500) yields a consumption total of 221K, which is enough for #1 on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
After spending three weeks on top, Drake’s “More Life” falls to #2 on the Billboard 200 with 108K units. Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” slides a spot to #3 with 70K units.<\/p>\n
Pentatonix’s “PTX, Volume IV: Classics” debuts at #4 with 54K units, while Joey Bada$$’ “All-Amerikkan Badass” enters at #5 thanks to its 51K first-week units.

The Chainsmokers’ “Memories…Do Not Open” convincingly won the weekly US album sales race. It will also take #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart, which accounts for the combination of album sales, TEA (track sales\/10) and SEA (track streams\/1500).<\/p>\n
According to BuzzAngle and Hits Daily Double, “Memories…Do Not Open” sold approximately 165,167 pure US copies during its first week of release. The impressive tally more than triples that of the week’s #2 seller — and will be enough for a clear #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.<\/p>\n
With TEA and SEA included, “Memories” generated roughly 221,731 first-week consumption units. More than twice that of the week’s second-most consumed album, the figure will position The Chainsmokers’ album atop the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data will differ slightly from that reported by BuzzAngle. The discrepancy will not, however, affect the overall outcome. “Memories…Do Not Open” will be #1 on Top Album Sales and the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
