Last week’s record-setting, Britney Spears-themed edition of “Glee” evidently did not hook its big audience for the long haul. After two weeks of dominating network television, “Glee” slipped back to reality for “Grilled Cheesus,” its third season two episode.<\/p>\n
The show dropped a whopping 24% in the ratings this week, falling down to a 4.5 adults 18-49 rating. While that figure is still impressive, still the best mark for the 8PM hour and still significantly better than what “Glee” was doing at this point last year, it represents a big fall from grace for the series which seemed to be emerging as the hottest thing, bar nothing but NFL football, on television.<\/p>\n
At a 4.5, “Glee” joins the company of shows like “Two and a Half Men,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “The Big Bang Theory.” Again, while that company is phenomenal and a sign that “Glee” is a real hit, it is a disappointment to see that “Glee” will evidently no longer be annihilating those shows.<\/p>\n
The viewership average was 10.97 million.<\/p>\n
Also on FOX, “Raising Hope” and “Running Wilde” continued their soft performances.
