For the second straight week, FOX’s “Empire” set new series lows in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.<\/p>\n
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 6.31 million overall viewers.<\/p>\n
The numbers trail the 2.4 rating and 6.91 million viewer mark garnered by last week’s episode, which ranked as series lows at the time.<\/p>\n
While “Empire” data sometimes receives an upward adjustment in the final report, the adjustment will doubtfully be enough to close the gap. On a live+same-day basis, this episode will rank as the worst-performing installment to date.<\/p>\n
Despite that distinction, it still won the night in adults 18-49. It took fourth place — below “Survivor,” “Criminal Minds” and “Chicago PD” — in overall viewership.<\/p>\n
