Off for nearly a year, The CW’s critically acclaimed “iZombie” returned with its third season premiere Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
The episode posted lower adults 18-49 and viewership numbers than the season two finale. Its viewership total, moreover, represents a new series low.<\/p>\n
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “iZombie” drew a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 0.98 million viewers. The two-hour second season finale averaged a 0.5 rating and 1.29 million viewers on April 12, 2016.<\/p>\n
The adults 18-49 rating ties a series low, while the viewership figure represents a new one. It was the first “iZombie” episode to average fewer than 1 million live+same-day viewers.<\/p>\n
Tuesday’s “iZombie” led out of “DC’s “Legends Of Tomorrow,” which drew a 0.6 rating and 1.53 million viewers in the 8PM timeslot.<\/p>\n
While many first and second season “iZombie” episodes aired out of the much stronger “The Flash,” some aired out of re-runs or specials that posted far lower ratings than this week’s “Legends.”<\/p>\n
