Update:<\/b> The official “Ellen DeGeneres Show” website no longer includes a reference to rumors of a third new Future album.<\/p>\n
In its listing for Future’s performance on the March 2 episode, the website originally said, “He has the #1 album in the country this week with ‘Future,’ and is attempting to have three #1 albums in a row in three weeks \u2013 which will make him the first in history to do that.” The listing, obviously, suggested plans to release an immediate follow-up to “HNDRXX” this week.<\/p>\n
The updated, truncated listing makes no mention of a possible third album. It simply refers to Future as one of the biggest rappers in music, while noting he will be “performing the song ‘Incredible’ from his #1 album, ‘HNDRXX.'”<\/p>\n
The change comes as Future’s representatives deny reports that a third new album is arriving this week.<\/p>\n
In addition to Future, the March 2 “Ellen” will feature interviews with George W. Bush and Lily Collins.

That is the rumor going around. An article on NPR first acknowledged the possibility, and the listing for Future’s March 2 “Ellen DeGeneres Show” performance provides additional support for the notion.<\/p>\n

Future does not appear on the “Fifty Shades Darker” soundtrack, which hit #1 the week prior to “Future.” The only way he could achieve three #1 albums in a row would be to release a chart-topping follow-up to “HNDRXX” next week.<\/p>\n
Granted, achieving a third #1 may be impossible even if Future does<\/i> release a new album on March 3. Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” also arrives that day, and it would be the heavy favorite in a head-to-head race with a new Future album.<\/p>\n
