The annual Red Nose Day charity event is right around the corner, and “Love Actually” fans have a special reason to be excited.<\/p>\n
Writer-director Richard Curtis and cast members Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Colin Firth, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke and Rowan Atkinson will be reuniting for a special short film.<\/p>\n
Entitled “Red Nose Day Actually,” the film will during BBC1’s March 24 Red Nose Day broadcast in the UK. It will also air as part of NBC’s US Red Nose Day special on May 25.<\/p>\n
The short film will revisit the key “Love Actually” characters to discover what they’re up to in 2017.<\/p>\n

Over the years I\u2019ve enjoyed doing Red Nose Day specials of TV things I\u2019ve worked on \u2013 \u201cBlackadder\u201d, \u201cThe Vicar of Dibley\u201d and \u201cMr Bean.\u201d It seemed like a fun idea this year to do a special sketch based one of my films, since Red Nose Day is now in both the UK and America. I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to \u201cLove Actually,\u201d but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to. Who has aged best? – I guess that\u2019s the big question\u2026 or is it so obviously Liam? We\u2019ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part – and it\u2019ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later.
